Hi! I'm a 49-year old single mom to my 16-year old son. I am disabled because of cardiomyopathy (heart muscle damage) due to chemotherapy for breast cancer. I am grateful for and try to make the most of every day. I love to scrapbook, read, cross stitch, and work on various other crafts.

Getting ready for Dr. appointment and injections

This picture is of me when I was getting ready to go to my oncologist and for my monthly chemo-type of injection.  I was trying out a new pair of false eyelashes that my sister-in-law, Jetta, got me for Christmas.  They were wine colored and were supposed to make my eyes look bluer or greener.  It was a rainy day, so it wasn't practical to wear my wig so I chose to wear my black sequined scarf, tied gypsy style.  Although my hair has started to grow (about 1/4 inch all over), I can't wait until it grows back out.  Having to use false eyelashes and draw in eyebrows isn't fun either, but at least they are starting to come back in.
